Living effectively and pleasurably requires some conscious efforts for the majority of us. The normal stresses and strains of life impact our bodymind in obvious and less obvious ways with the result being closing off, pain and less effective functioning. To reverse the cumulative effects of strain and maintain greater availability to the world and yourself, some type of regular practice is a necessity. The practices suggested are just a few of many possible activities. I prefer those activities that involve movement, are integrative in nature and designed to bring you closer to your bodymind while also pulling you out of your usual way of operating. These practices can provide both maintenance comfort but also the possibilities of changing your personal “operating system”.
